Anonymous Lawyer wants book contract

Evan Schaeffer over at Notes from the (Legal) Underground has asked that I hype the idea of Anonymous Lawyer getting a book contract for the material he has published on his blog.  Personally, I'm not all that fond of Anonymous Lawyer's blog -- though I know that it's very popular.  I guess the reason I'm not a fan like Evan is because the posts often strike too close to home.

Basically, Anonymous Lawyer is a jerk.  Many of the things he writes about I've seen or known lawyers who have done the same thing -- or worse.  Anonymous Lawyer mostly presents only a slimy side of the legal profession.  Unfortunately, that's the side that the public typically thinks of when they think of an attorney.

Yeah, I know, I know.  Anonymous Lawyer is fiction.  The fact that he can elicit these viceral responses from me also indicates that he's a good writer.  He probably deserves a book contract.  Even so, I don't need to be reminded that many lawyers are pompous asses.  I deal with them everyday at work.
