After the jury found that New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas has sexually harassed a woman with his crude insults and unwanted advances, Thomas said that he was “extremely disappointed that the jury did not see the facts in this case.”
Excuse me?
I think that the jury saw the facts just fine. It’s just that Thomas didn’t like that the jury didn’t believe his version of the facts. Now the Knicks have to pay $11.6 million in damages.
It’s time that the Knicks understood what a disaster Thomas has been for the club. The team hasn’t won a playoff game since 2003 under Thomas and his imput on selection of free-agents has been plain awful. How many millions does this guy have to blow through before he’s held accountable?
This is the same Isiah Thomas who lost in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals 20 years ago to the Celtics in a series best remembered for Larry Bird's steal of Thomas' inbounds pass with just seconds left in Game 5. The Celtics won that game and the series.
It was at this time that Thomas was quoted as saying about Larry Bird: “If he were black, he'd be just another good guy."
The Knicks should show Thomas what they think about his poor performance by giving him the boot.
Thanks for nothing Isiah. Nice pass though.
