Sure, Barack Obama has gained the nomination — but it wasn’t pretty. He has won only 6 of the last 14 contests, and last night he lost in South Dakota, where he’d been heavily favored. That’s hardly a ringing endorsement.
And that’s the best the Democrats have to offer? Ouch.
If Bush had done even a average job and the Republicans had put forth someone other than his clone, neither Clinton nor Obama would have stood much of a chance. But McCain is too aligned with the President, no matter how much he tries to distance himself.
I fear we may be going from a President who can’t speak in complete sentences and often does the wrong thing, to a President who knows how to say all the right things but doesn’t really know what to do.
But hey — I liked Edwards so what do I know.
One thing for sure: hang on to your hats — it’s going to get bumpy.

Great post and I feel refreshed someone besides myself is saying this. Thanks!!!!!
