The Pats beat the Packers 31 – 27 in a game that wasn’t decided until the final seconds. Oh, it was supposed to be a cakewalk. After two routs in a row, the Pats were expected to take it to Green Bay — especially without their starting quarterback. It was going to be a walk in the park.
Instead, the Pats were lucky to pull out a win.
I’m a huge Pats fan but never believed the team was as good as their last couple of games seemed to indicate. Their defense still needs a lot of work. And a concern last night was how often Brady was sacked or hurried by the Packers.
Without a few big plays from some unlikely players, the outcome could have easily been different. Now maybe the folks who believe that the New England Patriots are invincible will step back and take stock of a team that still has its share of weaknesses.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m delighted the Patriots found a way to will last night. And it’s great that they’ve clinched a playoff spot.
But this young team still needs lots of work if they’re going all the way.
You are moaning about a close win while we Redskins fans are celebrating a close loss 🙂
